Our Services

Period Workshops + Education Sessions.

Modern and interactive workshops for Mothers and Daughters to ignite discussion and confidence on the topics of periods, menstrual cycles and better understand our bodies during this time of change.

I am so excited to offer these face to face interactive workshops for small groups. The sessions will be targeted for girls aged from 10-12 years of age and based on the workshop model from Beyond the Cusp Trainer Milina Ospenica. The workshops will run for 5 hours with the girls attending the first session and the mothers invited to join in for the second half of the session.

These workshops will be available throughout the North East Victoria, Melbourne and I will be planning an online version soon as well.

PEERS® Teens + Young Adult Social Skills

PEERS® is an evidence based acclaimed program developed by UCALA Dr Laugason for the development of social skills for teens and young adults with Autism, ADHD, social or behavioural challenges.

Typically, this program is delivered in a group setting, with a caregiver or social coach also attending. However, it is also understood that clients in remote and rural areas may not have the opportunity to participate in groups so I am working on offering this program in a smaller setting or even 1:1 to suit the individual needs.

What you will learn during this program:

Conversational skills

How to handle bullying

Making friends and connecting with people

Appropriate use of humour

Organising get togethers

Dating etiquette.

(Please note: There is the option to do just components of this program to suit your requirements. A social coach - eg, a family member is high recommended to be a part of this program as well for best outcomes.)

Triple P® Positive Parenting Program

The three Ps in ‘Triple P’ stand for ‘Positive Parenting Program’ which means your family life is going to be much more enjoyable.

Triple P helps you:

  • Raise happy, confident kids

  • Manage misbehaviour so everyone in the family enjoys life more

  • Set rules and routines that everyone respects and follows

  • Encourage behaviour you like

  • Take care of yourself as a parent

  • Feel confident you’re doing the right thing

Special Needs Education Advocacy

The relationship you build with your child’s school is crucial to creating a foundation that will be in place for the next six or seven years of your child education.

When a child receives a diagnosis and transitions into the special needs department of the education system it can feel like an overwhelming change for you as a parent. All of a sudden there is talk of teacher aides, funding, learning goals, modifications, and acronyms such as ILP (independent learning plans) or PSG (progress support group), positive behaviour plans and more….

There is a lot to navigate. As well as understand policy and law, advocating for your child can feel exhausting. So, if you are feeling a sense of overwhelm or not quite sure you understand the procedure I am here to help.

With my advocacy service I can help you understand this process and help you feel informed to advocate for the support your child needs. This is about working with the school, not against and by approaching a solution focus you can achieve great outcomes for your child.

Sibling Support

This service is for siblings of a person with a disability. Research indicates that families are under a lot of pressure not only supporting their child with a disability but their other children whom are often struggling with their own emotional stress in the family unit.

A sibling support session with me, will provide your child a safe and nurturing space to talk about their feelings, thoughts and concerns about living with a sibling with a disability.

I approach these session with an empowerment framework, using CBT methods, mindfullness practice and work with parents to enhance the relationship and emotional resilience of their child.

Currently all one on one sessions are via zoom.
